Staff Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
The chart below shows the distribution of Staff FTE across the AFS Network. 19 Partners/Affiliates or 38% of the Network have 6 to 10 Staff FTEs. This is followed by 17 Partners/Affiliates (34%) who have 11 to 20 Staff FTEs, and 8 Partners/Affiliates (16%) with 1 to 5 Staff FTEs.
The chart below shows the distribution of participants per Staff FTE across the AFS Network, based on sending and hosting on all 2013 programs. 21 Partners/Affiliates, or 42% of the Network, have 21 to 30 participants per full-time staff member. This is followed by 12 Partners/Affiliates (24%) who have 11 to 20 participants per full-time staff member, and 9 Partners/Affiliates (18%) who have 31 to 40 participants per full-time staff member.
Active Volunteers
In 2013, the Network had a total of ~43,000 active volunteers.
The following chart shows the distribution of active volunteers across the AFS Network. 13 Partners/Affiliates or 26% of the Network have 101 to 250 active volunteers. The same number (13) of Partners/Affiliates (26%) with 251-500 active volunteers, and 9 Partners/Affiliates (18%) with 501 to 1000 active volunteers.
The chart below shows the distribution of active volunteers per participant across the AFS Network, based on sending and hosting on all 2013 programs. 20 Partners/Affiliates, or 40% of the Network, have 2 or fewer volunteers per participant. This is followed by 17 Partners/Affiliates (34%) who have ~1 volunteer for each participant.
The chart below shows the distribution of Partners/Affiliates' 2013 budget for volunteer development, organizational development and training. In 2013, 20 Partners/Affiliates or 40% of the Network allocated 10%-14.9% of their 2013 budgets for volunteer development respectively. This is followed by 15 Partners/Affiliates (30%) who allocated 5%-9.9%, 5 Partners/Affiliates (10%) who allocated 0%-4.9%, 5 Partners/Affiliates (10%) who allocated 15%-19.9%, and 5 Partners/Affiliates (10%) who allocated more than 20%.
In 2013, 34% of the Network, or 17 Partners/Afiliates, reported receiving some sort of accreditation from the educational authorities and/or other national-level umbrella organizations with certification authority.
